It’s official, again! Suzi is the Best Celebrant in the region - YAY!

I can’t believe it! I’m not only a dedicated wedding celebrant - I’m a multi award-winning wedding celebrant!

That’s right! I’ve won the regional final of The Wedding Industry Awards (TWIA) scooping the coveted BEST CELEBRANT award for the South Central Region 2026. One year on from winning BEST NEWCOMER 2025 overall for the region - that includes Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, Hampshire and the Cotswolds.

And, hot on the heels of that, I was just named as a finalist for BEST CELEBRANT in the UKWHA 2026 (Weddings & Honeymoon Magazine Awards). PINCH ME PLEASE!!

Next is the promise of national glory at the National Finals of TWIA, to be held in Liverpool on January 21st 2026. And we’ll find out the results of the UKWHA shortlisting in February, in a ceremony to be held at The Dorchester Hotel. Nice.

Since dedicating myself in 2023 to training as a celebrant and being the best I can be, pivoting my career to being a full time wedding celebrant, I’ve loved getting to know and helping lots of couples celebrate their union with a truly personal, joyful and memorable wedding ceremony on their wedding day. My wealth of experience as a professional writer and storyteller for the past 25 years for big businesses, their people, and their brands has come into its own.

To top off what was already a wonderful shortlisting for TWIA back in September, I’m so grateful for the local press who have helped spread the word for me. And massive thanks to all my couples not only for providing feedback and voting, but for sharing their fab pics too. Pure joy all around!

My local paper The Henley Standard, The Oxford Mail, Bucks Free Press, Slough Observer, Reading Chronicle and local radio stations we’re also pleased to hear about my win. Thanks to both BBC RADIO BERKSHIRE and BBC RADIO OXFORDSHIRE news bulletins too! All rather marvellous! Perhaps they are why you find yourself here on this wedding blog now…

So what’s all the fuss about?

When it comes to planning a wedding, the ceremony is really the most important part.
Yes, we love the food and drink, the dancing and the catching up with everyone too of course…

But the moment where you both declare your love and commitment to each other in front of your closest family and friends is why all your nearest and dearest have gathered and what really counts. So let’s make sure it does!
If you would like a truly joyful, tailor-made, memorable and meaningful wedding ceremony without any rules or restrictions, then let’s talk.

As I can’t legally marry you, my couples and their two witnesses head to the Register Office in advance of the big day to secure all the legalities in a simple and popular 2+2 ceremony (Statutory Ceremony for approx. £60) leaving us to work together and have lots of fun creating a bespoke and personal ceremony that really stands out from any other. A truly celebratory affair. You might even want to include your favourite tipple in the ceremony… Yes - you can even do that.

And as I only book one wedding each day, you can rest assured that even if you are running late or we want to wait for the weather to pass over for an outdoor ceremony, I won't need to be anywhere else and can be totally flexible. I'm all yours. You can even enjoy your favourite tipple while getting ready, risk-free, as there are no legal documents to sign with me. AMAZING!

Just call or message me for a no obligation chat to find out more….
Exciting times are ahead. And huge congratulations on your engagement!

Want to know more about the awards…. here’s Damian Bailey, founder of The Wedding Industry Awards, and the reasons why you should look for this mark of recognition throughout your wedding planning journey. We all quite literally make it our business to make sure you enjoy your day your way!

“Since 2011 The Wedding Industry Awards has been dedicated to recognising and rewarding excellence in the wedding industry and this year’s Regional Finalists are clearly at the top of their game. Our awards are unique as they are voted by recent wedding couples and it’s not the total number of votes that companies receive that leads to success. Instead, we focus on the quality of the feedback they get from eligible couples, amongst other things. Larger companies and talented individuals compete on a level playing field and the best wedding suppliers always rise to the top.”

So there you have it. Fingers crossed for the finals! 😊
